Brian Mistrot, National Chair

Brian has been an officer and owner of several companies specializing in healthcare over the past 23 years. Most recently he served as the Chairman of the American Moderates Party. Brian attended Baylor University, where he earned a Bachelor’s in Biology and a Minor in Chemistry.

Michael Burger, National Vice-Chair

Michael has 45 years of management experience and has worked with the Green Party and United We Stand, as well as held officer positions with the Reform Party and Independence Party of Minnesota. Most recently Michael has been a State Chair, Regional Chair, Vice-Chair and National Chair of the Modern Whig Party of America.

Jim Rex, National Vice-Chair

James "Jim" Rex is co-founder and former chair of the American Party of South Carolina. He was the last Democrat to win a statewide election in South Carolina when elected as the 16th State Superintendent of Education in 2006. Prior to becoming superintendent, Rex held a variety of leadership positions, including the dean of education at Winthrop University and at Coastal Carolina University, vice president for university advancement at the University of South Carolina and president of Columbia College. He began his career as a high school English teacher and football coach. Rex earned a PhD in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Toledo.

Jennifer McLucas, Director, National Communications

Jennifer is a seasoned public relations and marketing communications professional. She excels at crafting strategic communications plans, branding, media relations strategies, consumer networking, social media, crisis communications, strategic visibility and event publicity. Jennifer is a graduate of Auburn University.

Michelle Griffith APR, Director, National Communications

Michelle is a strategic partner in Clearview Communications+PR/The Message Masters, a national strategic communications agency serving clients worldwide. She is an accomplished senior media trainer, crisis communications advisor and keynote speaker. She was previously a Director with American Moderates Party.

Tim Cotton, Director, National Operations

Tim has more than 30 years of experience in professional political operations. Whether through direct work experience or professional association membership Tim has been a leader in every facet of federal, state and local politics. He is the Senior Strategist of a political consulting firm and a regular political columnist for a Virginia newspaper. He has retired from ordained ministry in the Reformed Tradition.

William F. B. O’Reilly, Political Advisor

Bill O’Reilly is a partner at the The November Team, a New York-based political and corporate communications firm, and a regular political columnist for Newsday. He has served as a strategist and spokesman for candidates, causes, and private corporations across the nation for more than 25 years.
