Brian Mistrot, National Chair
Brian has been an officer and owner of several companies specializing in healthcare over the past 23 years. Most recently he served as the Chairman of the American Moderates Party. Brian attended Baylor University, where he earned a Bachelor’s in Biology and a Minor in Chemistry.
Michael Burger, National Vice-Chair
Michael has 45 years of management experience and has worked with the Green Party and United We Stand, as well as held officer positions with the Reform Party and Independence Party of Minnesota. Most recently Michael has been a State Chair, Regional Chair, Vice-Chair and National Chair of the Modern Whig Party of America.
Jim Rex, National Vice-Chair
James "Jim" Rex is co-founder and former chair of the American Party of South Carolina. He was the last Democrat to win a statewide election in South Carolina when elected as the 16th State Superintendent in 2006. Prior to becoming superintendent, Rex held a variety of leadership positions, including the dean of education at Winthrop University and at Coastal Carolina University, vice president for university advancement at the University of South Carolina and president of Columbia College. He began his career as a high school English teacher and football coach. Rex earned a PhD in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Toledo.
Jennifer McLucas, Communications Director
Jennifer is a seasoned public relations and marketing communications professional. She excels at crafting strategic communications plans, branding, media relations strategies, consumer networking, social media, crisis communications, strategic visibility and event publicity. Jennifer is a graduate of Auburn University.
Michelle Griffith APR, Communications Director
Michelle is a strategic partner in Clearview Communications+PR/The Message Masters, a national strategic communications agency serving clients worldwide. She is an accomplished senior media trainer, crisis communications advisor and keynote speaker. She was previously a Director with American Moderates Party.
Tim Cotton, Director of Operations
Tim has more than 30 years of experience in professional political operations. Whether through direct work experience or professional association membership Tim has been a leader in every facet of federal, state and local politics. He is the Senior Strategist of a political consulting firm and has retired from ordained ministry in the Reformed Tradition.
Val Olbrick, Director of Information Technology
Val Olbrick is a Digital Adviser with Microsoft. She has 30 years of experience in digital strategy, operations, technology audit and merger & acquisition due diligence. Previously she was a Director for the American Moderates Party.
Rodney Riley, Director of Sourcing
Rodney attended the University of West Georgia (BS in Sociology) and began his career with IBM in 1996 in domestic and international sales and marketing, and continued as the Executive of Client Relations with Columbia Ultimate software from 2003 – 2012. Rodney is a co-founder and senior partner of an international sales and marketing firm, and is the former vice-chairman of the American Moderates.
Asa Taylor, Director of Finance
Asa has 30+ years’ experience in accounting and business advisory services, with a BS in Law. He has more than 17 years of experience in the computer technology industry. From 2002-2010 Asa served as an organizer with the American Moderate Party (AMP).
Christine Geary, Director of Legal & Compliance
Christine spent the last 20+ years as a trial attorney in South Florida. She began her work life as an educator, including stints as a teacher and a principal, and has remained interested in teaching and curriculum. Christine is also active on the Founding Board for a charter school on NAS Key West and an Early Education school.
Dayna Linton, Secretary
Dayna is an entrepreneur to her core and had founded many small businesses. For the past 13 years, her focus has been in book publishing and marketing. Dayna has extensive experience in historical research and is the former secretary of American Moderates Party.
